How to change default view of individual folders

I usually like medium-size icons, but for one folder in particular, want thumbnails. Is there a way to get this to be the default view for that one particular folder, or for all folders that have images? I also have the same request for the Sort By settings. I normally like nested folders and files ...

How do I set the default folder for E++ to open up?

I would like the default folder to open up as my D partition. But when I click on E++, it opens up what Windows calls This PC. This requires an extra click to see the D partition.

How can I change this?

Way to save view settings for particular folders?

I usually like medium-size icons, but for one folder in particular, want thumbnails. Is there a way to get this to be the default view for that one particular folder? If not, is there an option (in a right-click menu, or toolbar icon) to have Windows Explorer open up the given, selected folder? Usin...

Re: Where is xml file located?

Thanks for the reply.

Even when running E++ from the same folder as the config.xml file (I've tried it in two different folders), I still don't have my bookmarks.

How can I access them from the registry? I'm on Win7; running the 64-bit version.

Where is xml file located?

I just told Explorer++ to save my settings to an xml file, and then installed the nightly over the earlier version I had.

Now, all my bookmarks have been blown away and I can't seem to find the XML file. Where is it stored?

Re: copy handler tools not working

Seems to be working for me. Within E++, I right-click the item I want copied/moved, then select the Teracopy option. I get a window asking where I want it, I click through, then its done. This is on Windows 7. It is a bit slower than the clicking through the Teracopy options with Windows' native Exp...

Re: 1.0 release

Deleting spam mostly. I changed the security model on the forum a couple of months back to a challenge/response question, but there's still spam posts that show up now and then. And yes, I am still alive ;) That's good news. This is by FAR the best freeware file manager. Man I can't believe how bad...

Re: Selected file shaded

Interesting. I just tried this now and saw taht indeed, the original file was still selected after closing down the file itself in Word, a graphics viewer, etc.

I'm not sure what was going on when I had this problem before.

Way to get Windows Explorer to open up a particular folder

I want to have Explorer++ "Replace Explorer for all folders" (as in the Options dialog), but I need to have two folders open up with the thumbnail view, although I like Explorer++ to open up with the icon view default. Can I have Explorer++ take over for all folders, while still have the o...

Selected file shaded

I'm not too sure how to explain this, but when I view a file in E++, and then shut it down, I come back to the E++ folder view. At that point, I'd like to have that last file that I looked at, shaded in some way. I'm used to this from Windows Explorer. When I shut down the file in E++, I don't see a...
