That is a possible workaround, but it needs you to do additional actions to get to the Eject menu-option.
Explorer++ should not lock a (removable) drive in the first place.
Hope this will be fixed.

It would also be very nice if <Ctrl>-<Enter> or <middle mouse button> on a shortcut to a folder, would open this folder in a new tab.
The original windows-file-explorer would open this link in a new explorer.
