Alas, this is what I'm trying to do as well. Haven't heard anything yet, there doesn't seem to be any way to do it.

Open tab for a directory in an existing session?
Is there a way to open a new tab on a directory in an existing session, rather than a new window? Something like gvim --remote-silent, but for Explorer++. This is what would make Explorer++ really useful for me. I checked the usage message you get with --help, but I don't see anything promising. I'm...
