Explorer++

I've been using Explorer++ for years. Just this past week I've noticed that when in icon view, any shortcuts to Chrome or Firefox URLs no longer have the Chrome or Firefox icon used but instead it's just a blank rectangle. Has anyone else suffered this? Can it be corrected?
