I think this bug could be repeated by open multi e++ processes simultaneously, then install something through a msi package.

Don't need fully customization capability. Just add version field into .exe/.dll tooltip are enough. :mrgreen:

The lags caused by system tooltips are very annoying, I'm using custom tooltips now.

You are right: when I turned off the "Show infotips for files" option, or using the custom infotips, the delay disappeared. So, the delay is caused by "system infotips". But I found "custom infotips" not show the file's version info, ++'s status bar is not showing that ...

It's strange, the "%USERPREFILE%\Local Settings" only has four subfolder and there are no subfiles directly in it. If ++ only enumerating files in CURRENT directory, It should be very quickly to get into it. But the factual is a delay. :roll: Other folders are similarly, for example: I hav...
