Re: new [updated] version of Explorer++ from most recent sou

Post by TomKav »

I am currently using the 64-bit: [updated 07/02/2016] version, seems good, stable except for the apps bar (I have about 20 apps) aren't loading nor are there any icons except for a few like notepad and write... tried to create new one, no icon and doesn't load... weird.

Thanks.

Hi dilosec,

Version 1.3.2016.0207 fixes the right-click file pane crash. Thanks!

However, it seems that the bookmark feature does not appear to work at all.

I can add a bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar, but it is completely non-functional, and the bookmark disappears after restarting of Explorer++.

Please advise.

Thanks

Bill

The old bookmarks code was buggy, so I set out to rewrite it. Unfortunately, I never finished the work and the bookmarks code is in a half-implemented state. The fact that it doesn't work is also what's holding up any future release.

Sorry about that! I'm not sure when it will be fixed.

Thanks for the explanation. No worries! As an aside, the old bookmark system always worked fine for me.

I've updated post#4 (removed download links), and post#1 (new download links).

I've added 2 new options in 'Tools', 'Options...', 'Files and Folders' tab (at the bottom):
[x] Display mixed files and folders
[x] Sort names in non-logical order

Check/Uncheck the boxes as required...

Hello. I am trying the 3/29 version. So far it does not crash on right click (the issue I had with the original version with W10). However, it will not open more than one tab when I try to open folders on Desktop or Start. I can manually make new tabs. When I click on something outside E++, it will not open it even in the current tab.

How did you do that?

Just installed the old version of the program?

Along with my above issue, I realized the Command Prompt button is missing.

Otherwise with these two things, it is working on W10 without failure.
