Windows 10 compatibility

Post by espirit90 »

Hello All,

Most of Explorer++ does work on Windows 10. Until now I only found:
  • Crash on right mouse button click
  • Drag & Drop to/from removable media does not work (also not on Win8)

Explorer++ with administrative privileges

Post by iiil »

Windows 10 Pro. When I start Explorer++ with administrative privileges (right button > Run with administrative privileges) i have nothing. Only preloader for 2-5 second. Without administrative privileges Explorer++ works good. What's problem? I want it for Tools > Options > Default file Manager...
Thanks a lot.

I confirm that Explorer++ crashes on right mouse button click (on an empty place not on a file or folder) IF it wasn't started with administrative rights on Windows 10.

I hope it will fixed soon because I really like Explorer++.

I am unable to drag files to Notepad on Windows 10.
Unlike the earlier post these files are not from a detachable drive - but the drive is an SSD rather than a spinning disk. (I don't have a spinning disk to test with)

I also found that applications that have been added to the context menu [via Shell] are not showing up on the Explorer++ context menus as they used to do on Windows 7. They do show up on the context menus in Windows File Explorer, so the registry entries must have been created OK.
