save 'view' (large icons, list, details,...) when opening new tab from locked tab

Is it possible to have one view setting?
The view settings don't appear to be saved, once you double click a folder it always opens with view-setting 'medium icons'.
Current situation (example):
User has a tab called "test" locked with view-settings set to 'details'.
Double clicking a folder within tab "test" results the new tab to be opened with view-settings set to 'medium icons'.
Desired situation (example):
Double clicking a folder within tab "test" results the new tab to be opened with view-settings set to 'details' (as set in tab which was double clicked on).
