Dual Sorting

Would it be possible to replicate the dual sorting option in Windows Explorer? In Windows Explorer you can click on a column to sort by that column, and then you can hold shift and click another column to sort on top of the initial sort.
For example, I would like to be able to sort by Type, and then by Date Modified. Clicking the Type header will group items by file type first, and then shift+clicking the sort column will sort the date by ascending/descending (depending on if you click it once or twice) within the type grouping.
