Keyboard focus on startup

Post by Zandro »

Explorer++ version 1.4.0.2134 dev (64-bit build)
Build date: May 23 2023 04:57:21
Windows 10 x64 22H2 (19045.2913)

When launching an instance by entering a path in the Windows Run box, while "Load default folder" is set, the file list cannot be navigated by keyboard until I click in the window or use the Ctrl+tab hotkey. Adding this extra step to enable input is a significant burden on workflow. A workaround to force focus of the correct pane is to set the program to load previous tabs, but this forces the tab bar that I was choosing to go without and requires that I close two tabs to remove the window.

I also wiped the registry path and config.xml for a total reset but this behavior remains. Hopefully you understand my position, I'd like to be able to just type the filename characters after new launch like I could in normal Explorer.

Thanks for this almost-perfect alternative to the stroking mess MS Explorer has become.

I just found the related github issue, and because you're working on it, I defer to that. Thank you.
