Crash on launch with "On startup - Load default folder" selected

  • Edition - Windows 10 Enterprise

  • OS build - 19043.1320
  • Experience - Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0
Explorer++ v1.4.0.1748 beta (64 bit) - portable config
Possible Related bug - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2299

Steps to reproduce:
  • Set default new tab folder to any folder or special folder
  • Set "On Startup -> Load default folder radio item.
  • Close explorer++ and restart. Windows does not appear, event log error found below.

NOTE: when using --enable-logging on the command line, config options are not loaded. Not sure why, or how many options are ignored but it prevents the logging of the error. Upon reloading, resetting the option to cause the problem, then running from the commandline again with logging enabled, the fault recurred, and the logfile was generated but empty.

This is probably due to an interaction with the "Open new tabs next to the current one" setting. Which could cause a crash on startup in past versions, but has since been fixed.
