No, it's not abandoned. The most recent beta was released several months ago and the last commit was earlier this month.

I am using Explorer++ for years now as my sole file manager.
As a heavy user, a good file manager is an essential part of my daily work.
It is so good to hear that the development is continuing
Thanks a lot David.
As there is a considerable large community of Explorer++ devotees it would be very beneficial if David could post a regular update.
We are all waiting for the next stable release and CoolGuy76's question just shows how desperate we are for more information.

In terms of the next release, the current beta is likely what will become 1.4 (without any other changes). I just haven't gotten around to making the release yet. There are bugs in the beta that have since been fixed and there are other issues I know about, but it's probably not worth holding the release back, since there will always be bugs.

So if you do want to update, the beta is what will become the release version.

Hello David:

I am eager to adopt v1.4 as my full time file manager on Windows 8. A couple of us are still experiencing issues with not being able to hide system files in the left navigation pane. I was able to do this in v1.3.5 so I'm sticking with it for now.

Are you able to assist in any way? Thank you for your help.

Having tried using Exp++ under win7 and run into a problem which prevents it from even starting...
I have posted here & also emailed David - after 4 days with zero response I am quite sad to wonder this myself;
Which is a shame as this is such a wonderful s/w.
