Exiting edit mode when renaming a directory/file in a directory that is frequently written to

When I press F2 or select "\File\Rename" to rename a directory or file, Explorer++ exits edit mode within a short time (< 3 seconds). This works for other directories/files that are "static", but not for the directories or files in the directory where I store log files that are written to every second.
